Airway gas monitor - $1,475 each

List: $7,800. MedCon: VG. PB Puritan Bennett Datex model 254 airway gas monitor. Built by Instrumentarium, Helsinki, Finland. Monitor patient respiration, and anesthetic agents, for anesthesia machines and during anesthesia administration to patient. These units are used on machine side of anesthesia circuit to monitor machine performance. Digitally controlled, self calibrating, compact solid state units. 11 units in stock. 50/60 Hz.

Capnometer - $750 each

List: $7,500. MedCon: VG. Marquette electronics model 7000 Capnometer. Uses external display (not included) to display partial pressures of CO2 and carbon monoxide. 2 units in stock, 1 with disposable water trap, 1 unit is without disposable water trap.

Buttons for zeroing instrument and calibration. 2 units in stock.

Capnograph - $375

List: $5,210 each. MedCon: P. Marquette Electronics Series 7060 Capnograph. Use's LCD display panel to graphically display breathing and pulse integration on vent circuit. 2 units in stock, disposable water trap in front of unit.

Does not turn on properly, needs repair.

Anesthesia gas monitors - $975 each

List: $112,300. MedCon: EX. Saracap II gas monitors, made by PPG Biomed - Chemetron Medical Systems. Rebuilt in 1992 by the manufacturer and upgraded again in April, 1993.

Each monitor sits on its own anesthesia machine (anesthesia machine is not included) and analyzes patients performance and anesthesia gases during a surgical procedure. Monitors use SaraCapOR version 3.0 software, last upgraded Mar 9, 1993. Each unit does a complete self check of all software, memory, hardware and solenoids on power up., and then a calibration check. Continuously monitors levels of inspired and Entidal carbon dioxide, mean airway oxygen, mean airway nitrous oxide, respiration rate and inspiratory to expiratory ratio (I:E). In addition, the monitor displays a pulse oximeter waveform, pulse rate, oxygen saturation and other parameters. It store up to the last 9 minutes of patient data, which may be reviewed as needed.

Each monitor also may act as a terminal to access another station, for example, checking on a patient in the recovery room while the anesthesiologist is still in the operating room.

Anesthetic vaporizer - $475

List: $3,200 each. MedCon: EX. Ohmeda Enflurotec 4 vaporizers, for Enflourane.

Rebuilt by Ohmeda in April of 1995, no use since rebuild.
