Units were removed from a tissue reprocessing center, where they were used to sterilize plastic and other susceptible tools and instruments. We also have a full compliment of spare parts to go with these units.

These units are subject to FDA recall, as such they cannot be used as a sterilizer in an end-user hospital setting without re certification. However, they can be used in research purposes, or as large and vacuum chamber's. Purchaser will be required to comply with the limits of this use.

ETO aeration cabinet - $950

List: $3,200. MedCon: G. 3M Steri-Vac model 20 aeration cabinet. About 3.5 feet high. Holds up to 8 baskets as shown in picture. For longer term aeration of product that has been sterilized by ETO (Ethylene oxide). Unit has 4 timers, for both left and right sides of both upper and lower chambers. These timers are merely built in timers to show how long each side has been in aeration (0-24 hours).

Table top sterilizer - $275 each

List: $1,930. MedCon: F. Harvey model chemiclave sterilizer. Uses a combination of steam heat (self contained) and chemical sterilants to sterilize instruments. these units need repair, probably has 1 heating element nonfunctional. They turn on, but only come up to about 8 psig, so either need replacement of heater element or door gasket.

Sterilization containers

These are used for holding instruments after washing and before, during and after placing into sterilizers. Made by American V. Muller and American container technology. Most have minor problems but are fully functional.

Here's what the latching mechanisms, insert panels and baskets for these containers look like:

Pouch sealer - $375

List: $1,200. MedCon: VG. Doughboy hospital sealer. Seals pouches made of coated paper, laminates and cellophane. Not for use on PVC, polyethylene or vinyl. Usually used in an SPD department after insertion of sterile instruments and before shipment of instruments off-site, to ORs, etc.

Steam sterilizer - $2,300

List: $7,500. MedCon: VG. Amsco cyclomatic sterilizer, about 25 years old. Unit has uneven legs (front legs are short), designed to be set into a wall, however legs may be made out of angle iron if set on level floor.
