Birthing Beds

Birthing bed- $3,500

List: $112,200. MedCon: EX. Shampaigne smith nephew model S5500-N birthing bed. Unit new March of 1990.

Features:

• electrically operated
• power head up/down
• power foot up/down
• power bed up/down
• power seat up/down
• power normal/ reverse Trendelenberg
• detachable hand pendant control (for either patient or attending nurse)
• removable leg support
• unit has both adjustable foot stirrups and padded knee crutches
• unit has manual crank for operation when power is unavailable (for example, during transport)
• on locking / steerable castors
• wired for 115 VAC 60 Hz

Birthing chair - $2,750

List: $8,300. MedCon: EX. Stryker Adel model LD-500 birthing bed. New in 1991, in storage since 1993. In like new condition. Beds extends from a normal reclined bed position to a full chair position. Missing hand crank.

The bed has electric controls. Hand held control fits into a slot on the wooden side rail, so the control may be used either as an integral part of the side rail, or a free hand held unit. Electronic controls are:

• foot up / down
• chair position, tilt up / down
• bed up / down
• head up / down

The bed also has the following features:

• on 4 easy rolling castors
• brake/steer lever
• foot holder, with adjustable length, angle and locking position, swivels and locks horizontally, adjusts in elevation
• wooden headboard, wooden side rails, all in excellent condition
• dual hand held controls on either side of bed (1 in each sideboard)
• swing down and away side boards (drop arm)
• goes from chair to bed position with 1 button.
• cushions made of high density foam, in excellent condition
• leg cushion has built in board

Birthing bed - $1,475

List: $7,240. MedCon: G. Borning "Genesis" Hillrom, new 1986. Cushions in good condition. Electric controls (for foot and head motion), stirrups, fluid basin, removable foot extender with rail, extra cushion. Cushions light blue in color, arm and foot boards light colored, medium grained oak wood. Base of beds two toned, light over dark gray. Brake/Steer lever. Equipped for full and modified Trendelenberg techniques. Includes foot rests. Knee stirrups and squat bar available - $275 / set.

Birthing beds - $9,750 the set

List: $8,700 each. MedCon: 1 EX, 2 G, 1 Inc. Adel Model LD500 birthing beds, about 5 years old. 1 unit is complete, 2 are complete except headboards, 1 unit missing headboard and mattress. We cam make missing headboards for $375 each. Wired for 120 VAC, 60 Hz.
